Entering Information into the PowerPlay Early Power Estimator

Importing a file from the Quartus II software populates all input

parameters on the main page that were specified in the Quartus II

software. These parameters include:

• Family

• Device

• Package

• Temperature grade

• Power characteristics

• Ambient or junction temperature

• Heat sink

• Airflow

• Custom θ

or custom θ

• Board thermal model

• Custom θ

• Board temperature

parameters are optional. See “Main Input Parameters” on page 3–1 for

and the toggle

percentage in the PowerPlay Early Power Estimator spreadsheet to suit

your system requirements.
